Description: Cache of (14) Babe Ruth photographs from the Jim Chapman Collection c.1947-48. Charming selection of original photographs largely showing Ruth during his travels promoting the American Legion program in conjunction with Ford Motor Co. Several of the images show Ruth interacting with young boys and one pictures Ruth shaking hands with Jack Dempsey. Sizes are mostly 8"x10" with three images that have some moisture damage.
