Description:1919 World Series Cincinnati Reds (Redland Field) press ticket stub - good for "The Fix" (PSA VG 3 - highest graded). Original press ticket issued for the 1919 World Series allowing admittance to Redland Field for Games 1, 2, 6, 7. All would prove consequential but Game (1) ranks among the most infamous ever played. White Sox pitcher Eddie Cicotte hit the first batter up for Cincinnati, Morrie Rath, with a pitch; a pre-arranged signal to gamblers who had conspired with (8) Chicago players to throw the Series. "The Fix" was on. Name of the bearer is written on front in period ink and there is wear which largely effects the upper right and lower left corners. The PSA population report notes (3) ticket stubs of this style/format which have been authenticated and encapsulated and the offered stands as highest graded: PSA VG 3
