Description: New York / San Francisco Giants travel trunk with Willie Mays equipment container inside, c.mid-late 1950s. Large trunk by Priesmeyer Bros. Trunk Co. measuring approx. 25" tall by 27" deep by 46" long with "New York Giants Baseball Club" still visible on the lid, and "N.Y. Giants" on the sides. The interior has (6) removable wooden equipment containers with player names/numbers including Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda, Whitey Lockman / Jackie Brandt, #27 (name worn away), Willie Kirkland, and Jack Sanford. Based on the combination of names, it is very likely that the trunk made the historic trip west for the team's relocation from New York to San Francisco.
