Description: UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Babe Ruth, John McGraw, Connie Mack, and others autographed "World Series 1930" baseball - Christy Walsh presentational blotter. Presentational blotter with "Compliments of Christy Walsh" lettered on the base was made by the pioneering sports agent. He had a long standing tradition of creating such pieces which would then sit on the desks of those he was doing business with as a reminder. Red and black stitched baseball has "World Series 1930" written on a side panel in unknown hand. It is signed by Babe Ruth (sweetspot, 6/7 out of 10 with some loss to the "R" in Ruth), John McGraw (NOTE; John McGraw autograph is clubhouse signed), Connie Mack (7), Nick Altrock (6/7), and Gabby Street (6). All of these men were clients of Walsh and there is a well known image of the group which was taken at the 1930 World Series. Ball shows use/wear with scuffing and surface wear and a clear coat applied long ago to aid in preservation has toned.
