Description: Very nice 1908 New York Giants team photograph with Dummy Taylor. Charming sepia tone 8.5"x7" photo showing uniformed team members including Dummy Taylor, John McGraw, Fred Snodgrass, Fred Merkle, Josh Devore, Mike Donlin, and Larry Doyle. Identification caption below (original to the period) notes that they are shown in McAlester, OK. Period newspaper accounts relay that the team was in town for an exhibition game, after which they were arrested for violating strict blue laws! Both image and caption appear to be mounted to backing with visible wear including toning/soiling, chipping, toning/soiling, and there is a larger section missing from the upper right.
