Description: Willie Mays Rawlings Gold Glove Hall of Fame replica award. Duplicate replica copy of the presentational Gold Glove Award Mays received in recognition of his twelve consecutive selections as a National League Gold Glove award winner and membership in the Rawlings Gold Glove Hall of Fame. Walnut wooden plinth base displays a full size gilt painted Rawlings leather glove with "Rawlings Gold Glove Award" screened on black lettering. Glove is positioned atop a central pedestal with applied image of Mays on brass facade with two gilt painted baseballs perched on metal pedestals flanking. Brass placard displayed on front of base inscribed, "Willie Mays In Recognition of his 12 Consecutive Awards 1957-68 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Hall of Fame". 17" long with minimal surface wear. The offered example was commissioned by Mays directly from Rawlings and accordingly has a tamper proof Mays label underneath the base to prevent from future misrepresentation.
