Description: Willie Mays travel suitcase attributed to the New York Mets c.1972-73. Hard shell suitcase is finished in Mets blue with traces of orange evident throughout. "Willie Mays" name is on one side in applied block letter and number "24" adorns one edge. Wear throughout is consistent with use as intended and subsequent storage. Handle is missing. Based on the era of manufacture and color scheme we can attribute the piece to the early 1970s period when Mays was finishing off his career with the Mets.
