Notable for being Topps' first foray into baseball cards, the 1951 Red Backs set is highlighted by several Hall of Famers, including #s 1 Yogi Berra (PR), 5 Phil Rizzuto (GD), 22 Bob Feller (GD), 30 Warren Spahn (VG), 31 Gil Hodges (FR), 38 Duke Snider (FR), 50 Monte Irvin RC (GD) and others. Also includes both #52 Tommy Holmes variations (Hartford in bio: VG/EX, Hartford not in bio: FR) for a total of (53) cards in the set. Balance of the set appears mostly VG with some higher-grade commons sprinkled around. Range: PR-EX/MT. Set also includes (8) wrappers (VG/EX-EX) and is housed in a high-quality M.J.
