Description: Rare and impressive 1969 Pittsburgh Pirates Iron City Beer large format advertising scoreboard. Exceedingly rare piece is one of the only of its' type that we can recall seeing or offering. Molded plastic (approx. 27.5"x34.5") with the Iron City Beer logo at top and "Sports Center" noted along the bottom. Affixed in raised beds are two strips of uncut images (bearing close resemblance to a Pirates team issue of the period) including players Robert Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, and Willie Stargell. In between is a scoreboard (partially filled in with chalk to reflect a Reds vs. Red Sox game) and along the lower portion is a 1969 Pirates schedule. Tastefully displayed in a 33"x38.5" shadowbox with visible wear including some chips, a few larger missing pieces, handful of cracks, and mild soiling: GD with far greater display valueEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$2,000)
