Description: September 24, 1978 John Riggins autographed Commemorative Game Ball - (5,000) career rushing yards. P.Rozelle NFL football having been presented to Riggins as the recipient of the game ball for Washington's 23-3 victory over the New York Jets. Riggins ran for (114) rushing yards on 21 carries leading the team to a victory. It was during this game that he surpassed (5,000) career rushing yards becoming the 28th person in NFL to hit that milestone. Riggins name and game details are lettered on a side panel and Riggins has signed the ball in silver paint pen on adjacent panel. Light general age wear and a hint of air loss.
