Description: Magnificent Football game advertising broadside c.1897. Striking large format poster done to promote a football game played between an Akron, Ohio team and the "Deaf Mutes." Housed in a 26"x40" frame and displays at the EX-EX/MT level however there are some light visible fold lines and several small areas of inpainting and/or other restoration. It is believed that the game itself was played on November 13, 1897 and printouts of an newspaper article published (2) days later are included.
