Description: Outstanding Willie Mays autographed San Francisco Giants professional model batting helmet c.1960-70s. Original black hard shell helmet as worn by Mays displaying the classic interlocked "SF" team insignia on front in orange with matching painted 'dot' on top. Interior retains its original padding along with American Baseball Cap manufacturer's labeling having size 7 designation. The helmet has been signed by Mays in silver sharpie under the bill and retains its desirable original "Mays" Dymo identification label affixed to the back of the exterior head area. Strong evident use throughout including appropriate exterior scuff marks and surface abrasions. Perfectly preserved example of a very tough equipment medium with un-improvable primary source provenance. Includes full LOA from JSA (autograph), LOA from Hunt Auctions (helmet), and certificate of provenance from Willie Mays Collection: EXEstimated Price Range: ($25,000-$50,000)
