Description: 1948 Chief Bender autographed Philadelphia Athletics scouting contract. Uniform Employee's Contract dated March 2, 1948 and executed between Bender and the Athletics. Signed "C.A. Bender" on the inside along with Roy Mack on behalf of the team and A.L. President William Harridge's signature is on the back. All are done in period ink rating 7/8 to 9 out of 10. Typical mailing folds and some other mild general wear with a small area of discoloration on front. Bender was over (20) years removed from his own Hall of Fame playing career but remained involved with the Athletics, an organization in which he had many close friends.
