Description: Lot of (2) Goldsmith brand catchers' mitts c.1910-15. Pair of nice early mitts includes darker leather example with well preserved Goldsmith sewn on label. Buckle back wrist strap anchor has 1910 patent date. Use and some general age related wear (EX); lighter color leather glove, also having 1910 patent date stamped on buckle back anchor. This glove has a piece of heavy leather affixed over the fingertip area on back which has bold and large Goldsmith stamp. The sewn on label is frayed and not readable.
