Description: Mickey Mantle autographed 1969 jersey number retirement artwork by Phil Bissell. Outstanding original artwork, done on 11"x14" heavy stock paper, features a large portion of Mickey Mantle with smaller renderings of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio on the left side. Text at the bottom reads in part "Sunday, in Yankee Stadium - The Mick Will Be Honored By Having His NO.7 Officially Retired Along With Past Yankee Greats..." The date of June 8th is noted above Mantle (this was Mantle Day) and the days on which the others shown had their numbers retired are likewise below their names. Signed "Mickey Mantle" in marker rating 8 out of 10 and the work is also signed by the artist, Phil Bissell. Mild toning to the central portion. Includes auction LOA from JSA: EX/MT
