Description: Eddie Mathews professional model baseball bat c.1955-59 - Braves World Series Championship era (PSA/DNA "GU 8"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Mathews facsimile signature in the barrel measures 34" long and weighs 33.3oz. Model number "S2" is factory stamped in the knob. Uncracked with nice use evident throughout with some grain swelling to the hitting surface (due to repeated contact) with a slightly larger separation running along the grain (back of the barrel). Mathews was named an All-Star in every season that coincides with the labeling period of this bat and in 1957 helped lead Milwaukee to a World Series Championship. He was a member of the Braves organization for (17) seasons and ranks among the greatest players in Franchise history.
