Description: Important 1973-74 Bill Walton UCLA Bruins professional model uniform (Game Establishing NCAA Record Consecutive Win Streak)(MeiGray Photomatch). Classic powder blue jersey has "UCLA" team name across the front with number "32" below embodying the most prolific Collegiate basketball team of the era. The number "32" also repeats on back. Sand-Knit tag on the front tail notes size (44). Outstanding use and wash wear are evident throughout including pronounced 'puckering' to the jersey lettering and numerals. The jersey has been photo-matched by MeiGray to four images which were taken during the UCLA Bruins vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish game which was played on January 19, 1974 in South Bend, IN. Walton scored (24) points with (4) assists and (9) rebounds in a losing cause. The win by Notre Dame ended UCLA's historic (88) game winning streak which had started during the 1970-71 NCAA season. To date, it is the longest winning streak in NCAA history. It further matches to an additional undated image and given the level of wear exhibited it without question saw use in many more games than the January 19, 1974 event. The jersey had been perfectly preserved by former UCLA Senior Manager Lester Friedman and not previously offered until this presentation. Walton had eagerly accepted a scholarship offer from UCLA and would play under legendary Coach John Wooden at the school from 1971 to 1974. He lead the team to two consecutive (30-0) seasons and a pair of NCAA Championships in 1972 and 1973. He was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player for both of those wins and earned the title of National College Player of The Year for three consecutive seasons (1972-74). His average of (20.3) points and (15.7) rebounds per game while playing at UCLA garnered consensus First Team All-American honors three times. He ranks firmly within the short list of the greatest collegiate basketball players of All-Time and the offered jersey, with its' unique provenance and extensive documentation, should likewise be considered among the most elite of its' kind to have ever been offered. Includes LOA from MeiGray (Photomatch), LOA from Hunt Auctions (jersey), and a signed letter of provenance from Lester Friedman and the Walton Family: EX
