Description: 1973-74 Bill Walton James A. Naismith Outstanding College Basketball Player Award Plaque. Significant original laminated wooden plaque as presented to Walton in recognition of having been named as Outstanding College Basketball Player by the United Press International. Plaque is titled to Bill Walton, UCLA at center and signed by President Joe Willingham of presenter Atlanta Tipoff Club at bottom. 13"x16" with light surface wear and few small areas of toning. Bill Walton is one of only two players to win the coveted collegiate award on three instances to which the offered example is the third of that trio.
