Description:Bill Walton San Diego Clippers professional model uniform c.1982-83 (MeiGray Photomatch)(First Regular Season Game after Missing 1981-82 Season). White mesh jersey with Clippers' team name and "32" screened onto the front having matching "Walton" and "32" on back. Spanjan manufacturer's label found inside the collar with size 44 indicator and additional size/wash flag tags. Matching shorts retain Spanjan manufacturer's label inside with "32" uniform number written in two different areas. Jersey is very interesting in that the vestiges of "Douglas" shadowing can be seen under the Walton name on back most likely indicative of 1981-82 season of issue. Douglas ended up wearing #13 for the Clippers and Walton of course wore #32 but did not see game action in 1981-82 so very possibly intended to be issued to Douglas and made for Walton pending his potential return to play. The shirt has been photomatched by MeiGray to the opening game of the season on October 29, 1982 between the Clippers Phoenix Suns. The game was the first regular season game for Walton who had missed both the 1980-81 and 1981-82 seasons due to injury. Additionally the Clippers switched jersey styles right after this game going to a different format for the October 31st game. Jersey shows light general use with shorts displaying moderate general use. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, LOA from MeiGray (Photomatch), and signed letter of provenance from Walton Family: EX
