Description: Unique Tipi from the Bill Walton Collection. Original Tipi as ordered in 1999 for Walton's personal use and grew to become an iconic experience for those who visited the Walton residence. The Tipi was modeled in the fashion of an original Sioux Native American variant standing an impressive 16' tall having various symbolic images throughout. Walton was a student if Native American history and had a great reverence for it especially given its presence within the San Diego area in which he grew up. The Tipi became not only a place for reflection but also a notable landmark of the Walton's San Diego residence for the who would experience it during visits. Dignitaries and sports figure alike were documented to have experienced the Tipi including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Yao Ming among others. The Tipi will includes all of the original leather portions as displayed at the Walton home with expected moderate surface wear from exterior use. Interior wooden support poles are not included but could perhaps be available if of interest. Includes signed letter of provenance from Walton Family and original 199 documents from Nomadic Tipi Makers: VG-EX
