Description:Fine 1982 Jack Ham Pittsburgh Steelers professional model game used jersey - Outstanding use with team repairs (Steelers/Art Rooney Jr. LOA and MeiGray photomatch). White jersey with black and yellow accent stripes on the three quarter length sleeves has number "59" on the front, back, and shoulders. A "Ham" nameplate spans the back and a "Steelers 50 Seasons" patch appears on the left front chest. Medalist Sand-Knit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively..." tag is on the front tail with additional below noting size (50). Outstanding use is evident throughout and includes no fewer than (18) team repairs (varying size, some very small). The number "9" on the right sleeve has several repairs which MeiGray has photo matched to an image of Ham taken during the Steelers December 12, 1982 game vs. Buffalo taken at Rich Stadium (Getty: 1263336628). Printed "81" year tag (beside Sand-Knit tail tagging) suggests that the jersey was either worn over the course of (2) seasons or was an unused shell which the Steelers then issued in 1982. The level of extensive wear would support the former theory but at minimum supports use over many games in 1982. Ham was then in the final season of his legendary career having been a member of the Steelers organization for over a decade. During that time he proved a key member of (4) of their Steel Curtain era Super Bowl Championship teams. His list of accolades is lengthy and he is remembered as a linebacker who displayed uncommon speed and a deep understanding of the game. He remains one of the most celebrated players in Steelers history and of his time league wide. Among the very best of only a scant few Ham game jerseys known. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, letter signed by Art Rooney Jr., and MeiGray photomatch documentation: EX
