Description:1912 Red Sox vs. Giants World Series advertising handbill. Rare 5"x7.5" paper stock handbill done to promote "The Greatest Electrical Wonder of the Age" which was to be used at The Boston Theater. It allowed patrons of the theater to "view" the World Series on a large electronic display which would show "Every game produced exactly as played" and would reproduce "instantaneously, the ball in flight, hits, strikes, balls, stealing of bases, etc." It was surely groundbreaking technology in the time before television when fans would know only what they were able to hear on the radio. In fine overall condition with a faint vertical fold, some wrinkles, and a small tear on lower edge: GD
