Original document typed on a sheet of legal sized paper reads "Certificate Of Incorporation Of The Washington Giants Base Ball Club" across the top. Content details that "the name of the corporation is the Washington Giants Base Ball Club and the object for which it is formed is to conduct a place of amusement...where non-gambling games may be played." It goes on to note the breakdown of shares and lists the trustees managing the affairs of the company as William Edelin, Aaron Gaskins, and R.Hayes Jones. A second page (of the same size) is signed by the Deputy Recorder of Deeds of Washington D.C. and certifies that this is a "verified copy of a Certificate of Incorporation."
