Description:Mickey Mantle autographed high grade "Four-Bagger" game with promotional brochure c.1950s. Very strong condition example of the popular oversized (34.5"x22") game which featured Mickey Mantle who is shown during his 1951 Rookie season. All (4) of the pockets which were intended to catch small rubber baseballs or bean bags are intact and firmly affixed from the back (and there are 4 small rubber balls and beanbags included - unclear if these are original). There is some light surface wear/discoloration which primarily effects the upper right. Missing the support poles which would seat in two pre-drilled holes in the back to allow for it to stand upright when playing. It has been signed "To Barry, Best Wishes, Mickey Mantle" in marker rating 8/9 out of 10. Accompanied by a rare original Gardiner Toys spiral bound advertising book which was done to promoted their product line. This game (in slightly different form) and two others which Mantle endorsed are also shown. From the collection of Barry Halper. Comes with a custom 36"x23.5"x3.75" lucite display case (touch of wear to case) and auction LOA from JSA: Overall EX
