Description: Rare early baseball team Carte de visite c.1860s-70s. Early team posed in studio setting is comprised of (9) players and (2) well dressed gentlemen whom are presumably their Managers (and possibly a team owner). Overall composition is outstanding with crisp clarity and condition is very strong with a touch of light general wear. The mount is marked, "W.H. Getchell...Boston" on the back. It has been relayed that those shown were members of a "Lowell Base Ball Club" (after namesake John A. Lowell - not a reference to better known team of the same name at the time) and while we pass this along it can not be confirm: EX-EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$3,000)
