Description:Very rare 1931 Rabbit Maranville single signed baseball with team inscriptions throughout. Red and black stitched Spalding J.Heydler Official National League baseball has been signed on a side panel, "Best Wishes from Rabbit Maranville, Sept 19th 1931." Additional notations written in his hand appear on all other panels and include a full listing of team with which he played and the years/seasons he was a member of each. In addition, he wrote "Capt. of 1931 Boston Braves" and "Sept 10th 1931, 20 years in the Big League" (his debut had been on Sept 10, 1912). Fountain pen handwriting and signature rate 6 to 7/8 out of 10 and the ball displays mild toning/spotting and some minor additional wear. Maranville single signed baseballs are seldom offered and this example is surely one of a very select few which boasts so many additional inscriptions. Includes full LOA from JSA: VG-EX
