Description: 1928 Babe Ruth autographed photograph with related cabinet photographic provenance (PSA/DNA 9 MINT). Sepia tone promotional photograph depicting Ruth with arms crossed wearing a tank top which has been signed at left side, "To My Friend G.Cutrona From Babe Ruth Oct. 19, 1928". Black fountain pen signature and salutation range from 9/10-10 out of 10 allowing for a minute lack of original ink contact for the "O" in Oct. and the "8" in 1928 to account for the MINT grade of 9 by PSA/DNA rather then a perfect 10. Photo itself is black backed with a bit of uneven right edge mentioned for accuracy only and was assigned Type III designation by PSA/DNA. Signed photo is accompanied by an early 1900s mounted cabinet photograph (10"x12" overall) picturing "Cutrona Auto Body" shop which originated from the same family as the inscribed photo by Ruth. Exceptionally high grade Ruth signature with succinct provenance being offered for the first time publicly. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA (9 MINT) and includes related "Cutrona" cabinet photograph.Estimated Price Range: ($7,500-$12,500)
