Description: 1955 Bill Russell E.C.A.C. Holiday Festival Most Valuable Player Award. Large and ornate figural trophy given to Russell as the Most Valuable Player of the prestigious E.C.A.C. Holiday tournament played at Madison Square Garden in New York City. University of San Francisco defeated UCLA in the final game behind Russell's amazing stat line of 17 points, 18 rebounds, and 7 blocks. Trophy measures 25" tall with a Greek athletic motif figural atop a brass pedestal on black bakelite base. Inscribed brass band on the base, "E.C.A.C. Holiday Festival Basketball Most Valuable Player Award Madison Square Garden 1955 Won By". Striking visual award with some relatively minor pitting to scattered areas of the brass surfaces.
