Description: Significant 1890 Boston Reds Players League Champions team photograph. Important sepia toned photograph showing members of the short lived team which was part of the Players' League in 1890 and the American Association in 1891. The club won back to back Championships and counted among their roster some of the most noted players of the time. The offered image (just under 3"x4" on 4.25"x6.5" mount) has period identifiers on the back listing those shown including Dan Brouthers, Harry Stovey, Old Hoss Radbourn, Mike "King" Kelly, and Hardy Richardson. The year is errantly noted as "1891" when in fact those whom are listed would correctly date the piece to previous season. Image portion has some mild toning/shadowing from being housed in vintage mat and frame and both the image and mount are affected by an upper right corner crack.
