Description: 1963 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates professional model home jersey (MEARS A8). Cream colored vest style jersey has "Pirates" team name across the front with number "21" below. The number also appears on back. Rawlings manufacturers tag on the front tail notes size (42) and "Clemente 63" in chain stitch embroidered below. Inside are the wash and "Set 1 1963" flag tags. Usage and wash wear are evident throughout along with some natural age related toning. In addition, there is some spotting throughout. Small hole is present at the back of the shirt where the numeral ±1e has slightly pulled from the jersey body. A handwritten notation in the jersey reading "Para Roberto Ivan de Guichy" as was originally presented to the recipient from Roberto Clemente-s sister. The jersey has been retained by the original recipient until its current offering and will now present as one of the finer known examples of the 19609s period.
