Description: 1948 Steve Gromek Cleveland Indians Championship Season professional model road jersey. Road gray jersey has player number "27" on back and a "Gromek 27" embroidered strip tag in the collar. An original team logo patch remains on the left sleeve. In the collar is a "MacGregor Goldsmith" manufacturer's tag (size 44) and there is a "48" embroidered year tag inside. "Cleveland" team name across the front is replaced (as a pair of buttons) as the shirt was likely sent down for Minor League use by an affiliate. Usage and general age related wear throughout with some scattered discoloration and a few small holes to material.
