Description: Imperial size Honus Wagner autographed "Pittsburgh Gazette" large format original artwork c.1910. Oversized original artwork which is marked, "1910 By Pittsburgh Gazette Times" at lower right is the same likeness that was used in production of a postcard in the period. It has been signed "Honus Wagner" in ink rating 8 out of 10 and with a visible area of approx. 13"x19", the offered represents perhaps the largest autograph likeness of Wagner which we have handled. Included documentation relays that it was signed during a September 1953 visit to Wagner's home in Carnegie, PA and later displayed during a ceremony held at the Masonic Lodge of which he was a member. A superb display piece and one of the most highly visual as relates to Wagner that we have offered. Matted and framed. Includes full LOA from JSA: Sig.
