Description: Fine Babe Ruth professional model baseball bat c.1932. L.Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 38oz. Scarce and desirable hickory model bat retains superb centerbrand and facs. signature stampings including "Powerized-Bone Rubbed" markings dating the bat to no earlier then August of 1932. Hickory bats of this style are well documented within the Hillerich & Bradsby factory records to have been a favorite of the heavy hitters of the era such as Ruth, Foxx, and Gehrig. Bat shows evidence of usage including ball markings on the barrel area and retains a fine surface patina consistent with hickory model bats. Absolutely stunning example of a Ruth game bat from the latter portions of the famed 1932 season in which Ruth hit his "Called Shot" home run during the 1932 World Series and one of the most visually attractive Ruth bats to become available to the collecting public.
