Description: Billy Herman professional model baseball bat c.1934-44. Hand turned Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Herman facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 33oz. Strong usage wear is evident throughout with ball and contact marks covering the barrel. A severe handle crack was secured with a pair of period nails/screws (over which wood filler was placed). A (10) time All-Star Herman owns a .304 lifetime batting average and was a core member of (3) Chicago Cubs National League Championship winning teams.
