Description: Fine Eddie Mathews professional model glove with exceptional provenance c.1967-68. Rawlings Heart of The Hide model "DCT" left handed first baseman's mitt has "Mathews" name written on in vintage black marker along with his number "7" (twice). Nice usage wear is evident throughout and markings remain well defined. An included letter of provenance from Mathews' wife, Judy, relays "that this is the last glove ever used by my late husband...when he played his final year with the Detroit Tigers." Mathews was winding down his (17) year Hall of Fame career with the Detroit Tigers after establishing himself as one of the game's premier infielders and power hitters.
