Description: Updated description: 1970 Baltimore Orioles World Series Championship ring awarded to groundskeeper Pat Santarone. Nicely done presentational ring features a relief of Memorial Stadium on the top face with a diamond inset at center. "Orioles" team name is scripted at the lower edge and "Baltimore Orioles World Champions" is lettered around the bevel. Left shank has the year "1970" above a black and orange enameled Orioles hat and the name "P.Santarone" is engraved in a banner along one side. Right shank displays the American League logo (accented in red, white, and blue enamel) with a "1970 Champions" logo below (done white and blue). Marked "Jenkins 14K" with a touch of very light wear. Size (11.5) and weighs (35) grams. Real diamond but not original.Desirable original example of one of the more attractive Championship rings issued in the period: EX/MT
