| Description: Rare and unusual canvas and leather football helmet c.1890-1900. Fine vintage helmet originating from a New England estate has canvas body with (8) metal vent holes on top, ears are of leaher with portions of its' original two chin strap arrangement still present. "V" shaped leather lined cutout at back of head is intact as well. One of the earliest helmets that we've handled, basically intact and complete with some loose interior padding to ears and missing parts of the chin straps: VG |
