| Description: Rare and Important Yankee Stadium terra cotta baseball architectural ornament c.1923. Interlocking glove shaped ornamental that once graced the front of the Yankee Stadium grandstand. 12" tall x 23" wide this group is on of two that were originally part of the decor at Yankee stadium and were removed in 1973 by the Invirex Demolition Co. and subsequently purchased by the J.Peterman Co. in New York. The glove are in two interlocking pieces and remain fairly intact except for some minor chipping. Accompanied by xerox copy of Yankee Stadium blueprints picturing this ornamental: VG-EX |
