Description: 1971 Manny Mota Los Angeles Dodgers professional model road jersey. Road grey flannel shirt with blue and white piping features Dodgers script logo on front and player #11 in red felt on front and blue felt back. Rawlings tag remains in the collar noting size "42". Front tail shows player name and year designation "Mota 71" in blue chain stitch. A wash tag appears on inside front tail with adjacent flag tag noting "Set 1 #8P 1971". Mota has signed the front in black sharpie with the salutation "Best Wishes". Signature rates 9 out of 10. Shirt exhibits moderate usage wear and retains superb display quality. Completely original and unaltered. Manny Mota did one thing very well for parts of twenty seasons in the National League - he hit singles. From 1966 to 1973, he batted over .300 in seven of eight seasons for the Pirates, Expos and Los Angeles Dodgers, usually as a platoon outfielder, facing left-handed pitchers. Beginning in 1974, the left handed Mota became primarily a pinch hitter, beloved by Dodger fans for his ability to knock in runs with line drive singles in the late innings.
