Description: 2002 Anaheim Angels World Series ring. Large and impressive ring issued in commemoration of the first World Championship in the history of the Angels franchise. Dazzling design elements include a large iconic "A" inlaid with rubies and adorned with a halo amidst a background of dozens of small diamonds on the face. The words "World Champions" appear at the top and bottom of the bezel. The left shank features the recipients name "Espino" and year "2002" above a World Series logo in relief and the Angles season record "99-63". The opposite shank features the proclamation "Angels 1st Championship" above a rendering of a World Series trophy set inside Edison Field. Stamping inside the band reads "Intergold 10k". The ring shows little wear, if any and comes in a custom presentation box. The Angels began the 2002 season 6-14, their worst start ever, but finished with Darin Erstad catching a flyball in Game 7 of the World Series against the Giants at Edison Field. The 4-1 victory ended 42 years of franchise futility: NM
