Description: Clinton Burrell 1984 Cleveland Browns experimental orange number jersey. Before the 1984 season, the Browns decided to experiment with putting orange numbers on their home brown jerseys, and debuted them for their preseason home opener that year. After fans both in the stands and at home watching TV complained that the orange numbers weren't readable from their vantage points, the jerseys, such as this one worn by Clinton Burrell, were retired after their only appearance in that lone game. Brown mesh jersey features number "49" screened on front, back, and both sleeves. Last name "Burrell" is screened on the reverse with Medalist Sand Knit and "Exclusive for the Cleveland Browns" tagging appearing on the tail front. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and MEARS (A10)
