| Description: 1969 Grady Alderman Minnesota Vikings professional model jersey. Original white knit jersey retains its original #67 on both front and back. Famed purple and gold stripes adorn both sleeves along with the rare NFL 50th Anniversary patch on the left shoulder area. "Alderman" nameplate on the reverse remains intact and slightly cleaner than the remainder of the jersey indicating it was likely a period team replacement. Both original Sand Knit tags remain affixed to the tail front. The jersey exhibits evident use and wash wear including pilling, surface wear most notably to the numerals, and wash wear to the manufacturing tagging. Known as the "Original Viking," Alderman played the majority of his 16-year NFL career with Minnesota inclusive of the 1969 season in which they captured the NFL title. Includes a period handwritten letter of provenance on Vikings stationary detailing the offered Alderman jersey sent to Mr. Biernat by the Vikings.
