| Description: Rare baseball advertising matchsafe with striking plate c.1890s. Cardboard wall mounted matchsafe features a color lithographic baseball scene advertising "Consols" brand cigarettes with script lettered slogan, "Don't Strike the Wall Strike the Ball". Three dimensional matchsafe remains intact at the bottom portion with a textured match striking plate affixed to the backboard. 8" tall with some adhesive residue on the reverse from wall mounting.
