Description: Significant baseball photographic album from the Amos Strunk collection. Hard bound scrapbook style photographic album compiled by Amos Strunk c.1908-20 chronicling his career in Major League Baseball. The album contains over (60) original images with a myriad of subjects to include numerous photos of notable Hall of Fame members and obscure players. Photo sizes range from 3"x4" to 8"x10". Subjects include: Tris Speaker; Nap Lajoie, Connie Mack, (2) Christy Mathewson, Rube Marquard, Frank Baker, Shibe Park, Polo Grounds, Babe Ruth (with the Red Sox posed with Billy Sunday and Ed Barrow), Herb Pennock, 1913 World Series, 1910 Athletics team (loose), Boston Red Sox team photo c.1918 (3 1/2"x5", loose from the album), and others. The album also contains period newspaper photos and articles, premium photographs, several Amos Strunk auto. photos, misc. paper items, and supplements, many of which relate to the 1910-15 era Athletics. The images remain in very fine condition for the most part and could be professionally removed from the album if so desired.
