| Description: Roger Maris rookie era professional model baseball bat c.1956. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 35oz. Bat exhibits tremendous use incl. ball marks, stitching impressions, cleat marks, and handle crack. Uncommon "MARIS" block letter stamping on the barrel is consistent with two factory orders (prior to signature models) in the spring of 1956. Model O16 is stamped on the knob end. Interestingly, the word "Powerized" is missing from the centerbrand area due to a factory omission. One of the earliest documented Maris game used bats to have entered the collecting marketplace.
