Ornate sterling silver tray presented to New York Yankees General Manager George Weiss in honor of the 1958 World Championship. Inscribed on the front, "Presented by the Commissioner of Baseball to George M. Weiss Yankees-1958-World Champions." 12" in diameter marked by Gorham on the reverse; 25.2 oz. Weiss is regarded as one of the finest General Managers of his era having lead the Yankees to numerous World Championships during his tenure from 1950-60s. Incl.
