| Description: Jimmie Foxx single signed baseball. Cream color Wilson "Detroit Tigers" souvenir baseball signed across the sweet spot by Jimmie Foxx in black ink. Signature rates 8 out of 10 presenting very nicely. The ball itself remains clean with minimal age wear. The "Wilson" in the Wilson stamping has been traced in period blue ink but does not detract from the signature or display. A side panel of the ball has some very faint vestiges of a period ink notation, likely denoting the original recipient, but is clearly not another autograph. One of better quality Foxx single signed baseballs that we have handled. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: Ball: EX-MT, Signature: NM |
