| Description: Joe DiMaggio auto. photograph with Lou Gehrig. Black and white 8"x10" image of Joe DiMaggio posed with his mentor Lou Gehrig signed "Joe DiMaggio" in black ink. The signature rates 10 out of 10 and is the only signed image of the two Yankee greats that DiMaggio had within the collection. When Joe DiMaggio broke into the Major Leagues, he modeled his game and his demeanor after Gehrig. While they only spent a few seasons together before Gehrig's tragic illness forced his retirement, the experiences would greatly shape DiMaggio as a player and as a man for the rest of his career.
