During their relationship and subsequent marriage, Joe DiMaggio was intent on protecting Marilyn from those who would take advantage of or harm her in any way. Offered are original handwritten terms for Marilyn's studio contract as penned by Joe DiMaggio. Within the two page (front and back) notations he states, in part, "...she is definitely doing show business." and "She makes millions for the studio and she has a right to share in some." The lot also includes a handwritten page of dollar calculations written by Joe and a typewritten sheet which seems to summarize his writings and calculations.
