Description: Lot of (18) original photographs from Marilyn Monroe's USO performance in Korea. Group of previously unknown original images taken during Marilyn Monroe's performance with the "Anything Goes" musical group between February 16th and 19th, 1954 in Korea. The images range in size from 4"x5" to 8"x10" and picture Monroe in various poses while performing her famous appearance before thousands of U.S. troops stationed in Korea. The lot includes numerous candid images of Marilyn laughing with the soldiers, dancing, singing, and posing with the cast members. The lot includes one 8"x10" image of the band only (no Marilyn) which is signed on the back from the band to Marilyn noting that they were thrilled to have worked with her. Marilyn would later recount the meaning of the trip to entertain the troops commenting, ôI never thought I had an effect on people until I was in Korea.
